Staff
The firm currently comprises six staff, five being qualified chartered accountants, plus a small number of associates. We have significant experience in external audit and accountancy work in the charity sector and in financial management and internal audit within the charity and commercial sector.
Ian Pickup and Laura Mitchinson have been awarded the Diploma in Charity Accounting (DChA) by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. This award is based on their experience working in the charity sector.
- Ian Pickup has senior management experience in industry and has managerial experience working in the profession in Africa
- Laura Mitchinson has good management experience in the profession with a Big Four firm in the UK
- Geoff Greer and Chris Barker have both worked at finance director level in small and medium sized businesses
- Sue King has been the bursar of an Anglican cathedral for a number of years
We all enjoy working with the voluntary sector and all have personal experience of working for or acting as trustees for charities and other not for profit organisations. This helps us to understand the nature and culture of our clients and the environment in which they operate.
We ensure that we keep ourselves up to date with all regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
We are members of the Charity and Voluntary Group of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and are part of a national network of accountancy practices that specialise in the charity and voluntary sector.
